- Always meet in a safe, busy, public place to exchange the item and cash.
- Do not share banking information (passwords, OTPs, full credit card numbers).
- Report suspicious ads immediately using the report button.
How DekhoOnline Protects You
We employ advanced automated systems to detect and block suspicious accounts, fraudulent listings, and spam. However, we cannot verify every transaction that occurs off-platform. That is why following these guidelines is critical.
Recognizing Scams
Scams take many forms. Be highly suspicious if:
- The seller asks for an advance payment via wire transfer, mobile wallet, or cryptocurrency.
- The item is priced unreasonably low (e.g., a brand new car at 50% below market value).
- The buyer asks you to ship the item before paying, or claims they have transferred the money but you cannot see it in your account.
- The seller claims they are currently abroad and a friend/agent will deliver the item after you pay.
- You receive SMS messages pretending to be from DekhoOnline asking for an OTP. We will never ask for your password or OTP.
Reporting Issues
If you suspect an ad is fraudulent or if a user acts suspiciously, please report them immediately. Every ad on DekhoOnline has a "Report this ad" button. You can also contact our support team directly.
